Changwei earned his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2022, where he conducted research with Steve Jameson, studying on CD8 T cell differentiation and trafficking, with a specific emphasis on the cues driving the establishment of tissue-resident memory T cells. Upon joining the von Andrian lab, Changwei shifted the perspective of his research to investigate the role of vascular endothelial cells in immune responses and their potential orchestration with lymphocyte trafficking.
